Rafael Nadal stated that it was difficult to see the positives after his injury-
related return at the Western & Southern Open in Cincinnati.
After pulled out of Wimbledon last month due to an abdominal strain, Nadal returned to action Wednesday
and lost 7-6 6 4-6 6-3 to Borna Coric from Croatia in a match that lasted nearly three hours.
He will now be looking ahead to the US Open at Flushing Meadows at the end the month.
Here he will try to win his fifth Flushing Meadows crown and 23rd overall grand singles grand slam title.
Nadal stated that the main thing is for me to be healthy. To be truthful, it was a difficult injury to manage.
"The past month and a quarter has been difficult because of a tear on my abdominal. You don't know when you will be 100 percent over it.
That affects me a bit in terms (not being) certain if you're able to do your best in every serving."
